Review + Giveaway : E-Cloth

As the kids have gotten older, I am always trying to find easy and effective ways to get them involved with helping around the house. Rylee in particular, being the oldest, actually has shown interest in wanting to help when I am cleaning up... a kid who wants to help... say whatttt?!

Most recently I've noticed Rylee follows me around like a hawk when I'm cleaning windows, she just wants to help! Its a pretty simple task, but it's a task that I use a chemical window cleaner for, something of which I am not comfortable leaving her on her own using.

That's where E-Cloth and their impeccable timing come into the picture... a company committed to a safer, chemical free way of cleaning (did I say good timing?). They have provided us with one of their Glass + Polishing cloths for review, and surprise... they were kind enough to provide another for one of you lucky readers to win!

The glass and polishing cloth in particular is for cleaning windows and mirrors (duh!), but also, it surprised me that it can be used for stainless steel, chrome, granite and marble! It's a microfiber cloth that all you need is water and badda bing, badda boom your cleaning (yes actually! killing 99% of surface bacteria), and saving money (no more cleaning products), and protecting the environment and your family (from the now nonessential chemical cleaning products)... this is a win, win, win situation if you ask me!

Rylee was over the moon the day her hot pink one arrived in the mail, poor kid had to wait a few days till we finally remembered to pick up a spray bottle for her to put water in.

Once she had her spray bottle in hand she was determined to wash every mirror and window she could reach, it was awesome! That's one less chore I don't have to worry about, and because the cloth is designed to be streak free, I  don't even have to go back and do touch ups over her hard work, I love it!

I love her heart to help, and I love that she has fun doing something that to me is totally and completely mundane. It's truly a beautiful thing when we can teach our kids to be a part of the team called family. Giving them responsibility, teaching them to work hard, and giving them something to be proud of!

Meme & Pearl Review & Giveaway!

Last week we received a new addition to the family, baby "Nicole", and isn't she the cutest little handmade doll you ever did see?

She is one of a kind and was made with love by Missy the wonderful creator of Meme & Pearl, a cute little etsy store that offers a VAST array of other adorable dolls as well as some accessories too!

Rylee got to pick Nicole out, and waited "patiently" for her to arrive, she asked almost everyday if her new doll was in the mail... 

When she arrived, Ry was having a bit of a down moment and I came into her room and told her there was something in the mail for her... she instantly went bugged eyed (wish I had the camera for that moment!) she opened the envelope up and was instantly in love hugging her new doll! So precious! 

The thing I love about lil Nicole is that she's different, you can't find a doll like her in ordinary stores.  For those who know me and my distain for plastic toys... you know that I TRULY love that she is made with eco friendly felt and 100% cotton! Her design is simple but so unique with her cutesy eyes, awesome hairdo, and the contrasting fabrics! I also love that you have the choice of picking dolls of different ethnicities or just totally eccentric ones with wild coloured hair and outfits! I also love they are washable, huggable, lightweight (awesome travel buddy), and are any age appropriate!

They are all just so awesome! And GUESS WHAT!?!?!?!

Ok so there are probably a million and one accessories out there not just for your baby, but also all your baby gear. It's overwhelming. Without any direction or advice you can be easily sucked in by all these seemingly great inventions...and before you know it you've forked out a gagillion dollars on useless or extremely annoying and inconvenient things.

So when I find something good, I love to shout it from the rooftops! I'm all into putting your money on a good quality product, that is practical, easy to use, long lasting, and of course stylish!

So here I am, shouting, "City Grips"! I received these stylish grip covers that are designed to protect your stroller's handles from an American, mom invented, company called Choopie. And let me tell you these baby's are awesome! First off, they retail for $12.95 (for the single bar or double bar), and $18.95 (for the large single bar style)... so very affordable especially when your considering protecting your probably very expensive stroller from inevitable wear & tear. 

When I received my City Grip I was pretty excited to put them to the test. My awesomely amazing Phil & Teds stroller came with some preloved wear and tear on the handle bar, so instead of replacing it all together these handy dandy little covers hide the wear, and bonus, prevent additional wear from happening! Yay! Now that's practicality and affordability to its finest!

Me being the boring simpleton that I am, got the plain ol' black neoprene cover to match my handlebar. With an orange stroller it's a little hard to partner with one of the other patterns that Choopie offers. But that doesn't mean I don't like them, they have some cute ones like the "aqua whale", or the classic polka dots or chevron look, or if you like to walk on the wild side there's the Zebra or Leopard print.  

My City Grip to date has served me well, it's like a second skin to my stroller handlebar. It's barely even noticeable which is what I like. And even with all the regular day to day use of pushing and putting in and out of the car they still look brand new, which is awesome, less washing and maintaining of things in our house is very much appreciated. Thank you Choopie, hands down a great product! My stroller thanks you, and so do I!
