Day At The Park

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

A few pics from last Saturday, which was a rare but brilliant sunny day that couldn't be spent indoors.

One of Rylee's favourite things to do right now going on slides, she loves them so much!
After some fun in the park we walked down to the field watch Daddy play soccer...
Rylee cheered him on (he's the little guy below)
But... that didn't last long, she was more interested in her cookies and running the length of the pitch over and over again.

Fun in the Sun

Friday, July 6, 2012

Today we had another gorgeous day and spent a good chunk of it outdoors.

Rylee had fun playing and crawling about in the grass....

Playing with her Daddy flying and doing crazy stunts. . .

and learning to drink water and loving every minute of it!

My sweet, sweet smiley Rylee.

Beach Day!

Thursday, July 5, 2012

"At the beach, life is different. Time doesn't move hour to hour but mood to moment. We live by the currents, plan by the tides and follow the sun."
-Unknown-

“The beach is in our blood. Everyone in our family returns
to the beach instinctively, just like the sea turtles.”
-Sandy Archibald-

“Play in the sand; splash in the water; get dirty; get wet. The beach is the only place my mom doesn’t get mad about me doing that stuff.”
--Dixie Dykens (age 5)-

Summer has arrived (finally) and what better way to celebrate than to go to the beach! It was Ry's first time to dip her toes in the Pacific Ocean, and her first time setting eyes on little crabs, and her first time touching slimy seaweed!

I wish I had a picture of her first encounter with the poor unsuspecting crab, I was holding it to show her and without the slightest hesitation she reached out and grabbed the little guy by his pincher and just let him dangle around. Don't worry he survived, maybe a little traumatized, and with all limbs attached!

It was a beautiful day, and hopefully the first of many! Can't wait to get her to the lakes swimming to kick her little legs and so she can wear her itsy bitsy teenie weenie little polka dot...swim suit! She's a little young for a bikini folks, don't want those rowdy toddlers chasing after her, Daddy would have a conniption!
